"To my side, my noble Einherjar" May 7th, 2004
The Valkyries of Arcadia Unit Leader position has been filled.

May 5, 2004 was the day that I was to meet a female whose interest in the videogame community matched that of what Empire Arcadia is about. I found her through means of the internet on May 3rd, means in which I will not disclose. Her name is "Luna". I noticed that the site in which she came from was a female gamer site. These sites are rare, and for the most part are usually found in the west cost. Her site really didn't catch my interest until I noticed that she was from the Empire State, New York City. I was quickly interested at that point. I had an administrator from the Empire send forth a message of my interest in her as a gamer and what she could possibly contribute to the community of gamers. A day later word came back from her, and she was interested in what Empire Arcadia was about. I had a trusted old friend of mine speak to her about the empire and arrange a meeting between her and I. It was done.

On that day we met at the Manhattan mall located on 32nd street and 6th avenue. She arrived with friends as I waited with Lord UG, and Marvelous. They were there earlier than I was, I prefer it that way. It was awkward meeting a female gamer for the interest of videogames. It's not like meeting for regular reasons of social intimacy. The purpose of our meeting was completely professional. We decided to get a bite to eat before starting our conversation, and shortly afterwards she received a phone call from a member in the Empire that I have not seen in a while, and that was peach. Peach just finished her college class and decided to join us for lunch. Then I received a call from Chronos, a very loyal and supportive member of the Empire, and I had him join us for lunch as well. Lord UG began to break down the Empire to Luna. She was very surprise to find out what we were really about. Most people believe the empire is a bunch of kids who are gathering together to go to tournaments with top tier players and show off how good the players are. How unfortunate, never the less, she said that she recognized Justin and who he was and that she knew of someone that could beat him in Marvel vs. Capcom 2. UG, Marvelous, and I all looked at each other and started to laugh. Justin (Marvelous) agreed that Luna's friend could beat him.

After a couple more in-depth outlines of what Empire Arcadia was about Luna was really enthusiastic about becoming a part of the Empire. Her only concern however was if the Empire would get in the way of her personal life. I assured her that through follow up communication, most members in the Empire are able to work efficiently and worry free about the Empire complicating their personal life. Her reply to my statement was " I don't know what to say." Thus I told her to say yes, and she didn't hesitate. Shortly after she signed the (E)mperial Document and gave oath to the empire.

After the formalities ended, we spoke on many different issues concerning men and women in general society, East Coast Championship 9 and what role Empire Arcadia will play in it, and the principles of what Empire Arcadia was about. Over all I discovered that she was able to help the community more than I thought that she was capable of. We spoke of absorbing her female community and allowing them to grow with a new architecture set to the forums in which she has on her original site. It came to a conclusion that "battlepony" will be moving to Empire Arcadia. I gave her my word that the Empire will support the push for female gamers and its independent community. I could see nothing less than what I offered her. Luna then gave word that she would make notice to her community that the migration would begin soon. I was pleased to here this.

Finally the meeting came to an end, and we were all relieved of the formalities and unnecessary professions. I decided that we relax a little. I let her play my Super Mario Brothers 3. Luna became giddy as it just so happened to be one of her favorite games. Heh.Mario. She got into it a bit, while peach looked over her shoulder. Speaking of peach we also got to see one of her new art work. From there we talked and played, until Sir Strange paid us an odd random visit. I took a step back and watched them congregate about many different things. They spoke about Final Fantasy 11 for over 30 minutes. I thought to myself, of the future to come, and if I could bring to light a dream that only exist for fools. Napoleon once said, "Kings and Pawns, Emperors and fools." Let us see if this is true. Until then.
