Guilty Games at GNG September 15th, 2004
Empire Arcadia speaks on Igames! Movies!

Hosted at the Hammerstien Ballroom on 34th street the I-Games 2004 Expo also had GNG host a gaming lounge party with Guilty Gear Isuka. Empire Arcadia was on hand with top fighting game champions such as Justin " Marvelous " Wong and Arturo Sanchez to give the game a try in its debut. With the game's first "public" East coast debut gamers got a try at this four player game that gave a "Guardian Heroes" feel to the best 2D hi resolution game in the industry. For its debut the game got some high level performance from Empire members that played the game and got a bit serious. One of these gamers was Norman " Harlem Hero " Burgess, who was completely undefeated at the hosting of the videogame. However for the sake of the gamers that were there, it is to be noted that no one was playing that serious.

Other Empire Arcadian members that attended, that have not been seen in a while was Jeron " Harlem's Finest " Grayson, who stated that the game was very interesting. Other games on hand created by Sammy were Dark Watch which was viewable only SpyFiction and Iron Phoenix which had several playable demos of the game. Dark Watch is a First Person Shooter, which seems to be based around the western era and had creatures of the night as enemies. With only a cinematic computer generated movie there was not much to say about the game as Empire members expected a playable version. Spy Fiction was review by Shen Yin who had comments about the game. "Spy Fiction in my opinion is a well rounded stealth action game with some unique game play concepts. These concepts seems to be based around taking on the identity of the characters that interact in the world for stealth purposes."

Iron Phoenix was reviewed and played by Wyldflower who had a couple of thoughts on the game herself. "I like the concept that it is a 16 player online fighting game for Xbox live, but I was wondering if the game had any single player options." With all the games playing and a nice crowed of over 100 gamers playing and enjoying themselves, it was good to know that players of all styles were on hand to give these games a try. Ladies of mature ages 28 to 35, even gave these games a try. The music played added a nice touch to the environment.

After the event most of the gamers there all had tickets of the late midnight showing of Resident Evil Apocalypse. Almost every member in the Empire Arcadia that attended the I-game/GNG event has seen the movie and so far from what they think, it has to be hands down the greatest "Videogame movie" ever. Much was said about the movie from guys like Santhrax "Great movie, saw it twice, and guess what, yeah I'm going to see it for the 3rd time." The movie has cleaned up the story by leaps and bounds and has made it more understandable even to people who have not played the game or know about the series. The characters are more feasible to the world that they are in and even include small details to add "more" appeal and depth to the characters. Death scene in the movie are matched if not out done by its parent origins. With that said there is only one more opinion about the movie that would set the push for gamers to see it. Shen Yin "Now, if the videogame series could only follow the movies lead."
