Level 1 "The Gauntlet"
The initial start of the gamer’s “National” food drive for the hungry this holiday season, started yesterday morning at Nintendo World. TriForce along with members of Empire Arcadia lined up outside of Nintendo World 2 days before the launch of the Nintendo Power 20th anniversary, to utilize the gaming fans of Nintendo to try and raise canned food goods for the unfortunate. As expected gamers came out by the several hundreds knowing that only the first 400 gamers would be allowed in for the Nintendo Power Party.
Knowing that more than 400 gamers were going to be at Nintendo World and on the line days before the event, it did not stop the gamers from coming anyway. Gamers of all ages, sizes, gender and race created the line faithfully and mingled with all the other gamers on the line. Playing scores of Nintendo DS games and Picto Chatting it has been the staple activity of Nintendo fans that attend Nintendo World events. Knowing far well how Nintendo gamers behave, TriForce took advantage of the situation and knew that a chance to do more good with the gamers at Nintendo World. The test of the Gamers Gauntlet began! |

How the Gamers helped out
Early Saturday morning TriForce spoke with the gamers on the line and told them of the project to raise food for the hungry this holiday season by gamers. He urge them to participate in the first attempt at the National food drive by competing in a Tetris DS Challenge and a gaming trivia contest. Each gamer that got a question correct would get 2 points and that 2 points would equal 2 canned food goods that Empire Arcadia would donate.
As for the Tetris DS Challenge, competitors who wish to compete had to donate at least 1 canned food good. Any gamer that would get 800K points would receive a donation from Empire Arcadia of 3 canned food goods. Getting 900K would receive a donation from Empire Arcadia of 5 canned food goods; where as 1 million points would receive a donation from Empire Arcadia of 10 canned Food goods. Although no one was able to get pass 200k, 12 extra cans were donated by Empire Arcadia anyway for the participation of each of the 12 gamers that supported the drive by competiting in the Tetris DS Challenge.
