Video Interview or Podcast |
The Gamer Stage was filled with attendees trying to beat the challenges set by the Legends from the moment the event started at 2pm to 7pm. The food drive was suspended on Saturday which gave everyone who was working the food drive a chance to find out what else E For All had to offer. Justin found himself hosting an interview with Marcus ‘djWHEAT’ Graham of Championship Gaming Series. They talked about Justin’s legendary career as the world’s best overall fighting game player. Justin gave his experience feed back about yesterdays and today’s fighting games and how they would be received by a league such as CGS. When asked what games Justin would put into a competitive gaming league if he had 2 million dollars, Justin said “Soul Calibur 4, Street Fighter 4, Tekken 6 and Super Smash Brothers Brawl.” All of his choices were based on the fact that each of the games brought out the most gamers to compete.
CGS had a whole bunch of things going on at the All Games.com booth. They had a video game set up which test your hand and eye coordination called the H2i. Among other notes regarding CGS, Team manager for LA Complexity “Jason Lake” was spotted at the All |
Games.com booth and by the looks of it he appears to be doing some player shopping for his team. We wondered who he had in mind.
E For All was filled with pro and celebrity gamers alike. At the All Games.com Booth, Steve Wiebe was in attendance and was ready for yet another shot at taking the world record in Donkey Kong. Ubi-soft had Fragdoll Valkyrie and Psyche hosting there booth, while Sharp “Pro Gamer” lounge had the PMS clan. In the World Cyber Games (WCG) section of the entire expo pro-gamers were abound, representing various games. Empire Arcadia had Rodney “Akria” John and Denis “Denkai” Sockwell competing. Denkai had to unfortunately drop out of the competition due to an early flight back to NYC for school the following morning; however Akira placed 4 at the Nationals which was held at E For All 08.
With gamers of all types exploring all the booths at the Expo, E For All setting felt more like a expo for gamers of the community rather than gaming from the industry. It was a refreshing feeling and could be a good sign for the future for gamers.

Gamers turn in almost 1 ton of food. |
Later that night Coin-Op TV and WCG held gamer related parties. For the full report see TirForce’s myspace Blog (Inside E For All). Sunday was the last day of the Expo and was the last chance to raise as much food as possible for the food drive. There have been so many conflicting reports about the experience at E For All but from the Gamers Stage, it was packed with over one hundred gamers giving away food at a chance to compete against the challenges set by the Legendary gamers and the Super Smash Brothers Brawl tournament hosted by Deadly Alliance’s Kubuu.
The Super Smash Brothers Brawl tournament was over packed with gamer’s ready to play. It begs the question as to “why this game isn’t in a League?” At first the tournament cap was set to 32 players, which then moved to 48, then to 64 all in the span of 30 minutes. There were more players willing to sign up but it TriForce and Kubuu did not cap the tournament it may not have been completed in time. In any event the gamers who were barred out of the tournament still donated their food to the drive and in stead either played in the other challenges or watched from the crowd the on goings of the tournament.

After the tournament came to an end and E For All began to close up, Fatal1ty, Todd Rogers, Kubuu, Justin and TriForce all gathered on the stage to bring the successful food drive to an end. They thanked all the gamers for coming out and donating their food to make a difference for the hungry people of Los Angeles. Special thanks went out to Pat Phillips of E For All Expo for making it even logistically possible for the event to have even happen. Special thanks also went out to Boston America CORP for there generous contributions of there energy drink to the food drive and the gamers; GameExpress.com for sponsoring a Nintendo Wii as a prize for the event and final thanks went out to All Games.com for helping to cover and spread the news of the food drive.
Afterwards, TriForce then brought up a random gamer from the audience to draw the winning raffle ticket for the lucky gamer to win a Nintendo Wii autographed by the 5 Legendary Gamers. All the gamers held their breaths as the winner was drawn out of a bowl. The winner was Jose Mancilla. After the winner was announced, TriForce wished a farewell to all the gamers who came out and supported the event before the logistic workers came out to start tearing down all expo. The gamers then quickly left cleared the deconstructing of the Expo.
