As Empire Arcadia continues to focus on the many different segments of the gaming culture; throughout MTV’s Gamers Week 2.0 they decided to focus on “The Media” element. For a long time gamers have not had much too really say when on camera. Many have tried and during that actual time that they had on camera, even when they spoke about constructive topics; due to the control in which the media has on the footage if it did not match the topic of why they were even recording to begin with, it would not make it to air. Well this year that has changed. MTV took a “risk” so to speak to allow gamers just a little bit more freedom to talk about what they are and what they represent.

Gamers Week 2.0 doesn't just stop at MTV. Well not for the Empire at least. Last week was the only official chance recognized by the media in which gamers could get a chance to express themselves on a national level all through Gamers Week. This window of opportunity was one that the Empire could not miss out on. During that week both the Nintendo Wii and the Sony PlayStation 3 were set to launch as the newest of the 3 videogame home consoles.

Nintendo and Sony both had plans to host launch parties for their respective systems. With all the work that the Empire does for the Greater Gamer Community a little party is just what they needed. At first Triforce held a meeting earlier in the week to find out the full details on the events that were happening that week for both Nintendo and Sony. So Triforce ordered a seperate group of members to split up and find out just when and where the launch parties for both systems would take place in New York City. Red and Ultimo Noressi found out that Sony was hosting their launch party at the Sony Styles Building in midtown Manhattan, while Ace informed Triforce that the Nintendo World Store was no longer going to be the hosting point for the Nintendo Wii. Thus the plan for the Empire was that during gamers week Triforce would hold the Nintendo line and Red would hold the PS3 line.

Red reported that he had difficulties finding a spot to purchase the PS3 other than the Sony Styles Store that was already packed days before it launch and had to scrap the plan for the launch party as he wsa trying to find a place in where he would actually have a chance to purchase the PS3. Triforce on the other hand decided that it would be best to camp early for the Nintendo Wii.

Starting the line on November 9th 2006 he was well aware of the 10 day wait he would have to undergo. He was also aware that he would still be working in the studio with MTV for Gamers Week 2.0. Thus in order for Triforce to accomplish such a task he would need the help of his friends and members of Empire Arcadia. Wyldflower, Inorubian, Kreymore, Arturo, Dire and Kubuu all rotated with Triforce so that he would be able to hold the first position at Toys R Us for a week and still be able to do what work he had to do for Gamers Week 2.0

The Empress brought him home cooked meals and releaved him so that he would be able to go home, shower and change into a fresh pair of clothes. The task may be considered very extreme to many especially for someone like Triforce; however Triforce later said "Just because I own my own

videogamer company does not mean I've forgotten the traditions that we hold as gamers and one of those traditions are launch parties." Triforce endured the grueling cold days on the line but in the end he was able to come away with the first Nintendo Wii sold in North America.

Members from the Empire poured in from around the Empire State to show support to Triforce like, Jeron, Nightmare, Bella, Rook, Silly, Shankar, Deadman, Ink, Flash, Justin, Random James, Isis, Melissa, Beast, Blackwidow, Ron, Blaine, Royal Lance, Richard, Chronos and Wayne. During the time Triforce took a break only hours away from the Nintendo Wii launch, Empress Wyldflower held an interview with CNET.

Gamers of the Empire emulate what real gamers are about and what they really do. They look to break the sterotypes of what it is to be a gamer so that it can be globally accepted as a culture. In the end Triforce was rewarded with an exclusive interview with Reggie Fils Aime; President of Nintendo of America and recieved an autograph Nintendo Wii on the first system purchased.

As Triforce left Toys R Us, members of the Empire were outside awaiting and they all got together to head to the hotel they reserved to try out the Nintendo Wii with no delay.
