The Annual Gamers Valentine event presented by Empire Arcadia was hosted this year by no other than Empress Valkyrie Wyldflower at NYCLAN. The party started on a good note and this year it added more of the same fun and social gaming that it did last year. Invited this year from the female gamer community was G.A.L. “Girls Are Legendary”. A few other female gamers from the community came as guess with friends to enjoy the festive event. There were plenty of chocolate candies to go around ranging from Hershey Kisses to Valentine themed M&M’s and heart shaped lollypops.

As Wyldflower and Kia who is the co-owner of NYCLAN finished setting up the final touches of the Valentine party, Valkyrie Nightmare, Valkyrie Bella and Valkyrie Nostalgic were the first to attend the event. Shortly after all of the other gamers from around the east coast started to pour into the place.

Wyldflower made sure to have the best of the best games available for everyone to play. The games ranged from Gears of War, Street Fighter 3: Third Strike, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Arcade), Super Smash Brothers Melee, Capcom Classic Collections Volume 2, Tekken 5, Tekken DR, Virtua Fighter 4, Will Sports, Guitar Hero 2, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, The New Tetris, Capcom vs. SNK 2, Dead or Alive 4 and more.

TriForce finally arrived after picking up Valkyrie White Mage at Penn Station. Everyone started to play games and started socializing as they spoke out more about their individual gamer communities that they spawned from. TriForce immediately came to Wyldflower’s aid to help in the administration of the party while Red went nuts about why Virtua Fighter is better than Tekken. Although the party started at 5pm it wasn’t until 8pm that the media came to cover the event by interviewing some of the gamers in attendance.

FCI FUJISANKEI COMMUNICATIONS INTERNATIONAL, INC. the #1 network among Japanese in the U.S.! * Reaching more than 400,000 Japanese viewers at least once a week arrived at the event to get a take on female gamers love for gaming.  As they went around with the camera recording the gamers at the event playing different games it came to a time where Wyldflower and TriForce brought a team of 10 guys and girls to compete in a Wii bowling contest. At first TriForce asked the crowd whether they wanted the contest to be a co-ed match or guys vs. girls. Before any of the guys could even speak the girls all stated that they did not need any of the guys to play with them and that they preferred to challenge all of the guys in the contest.

TriForce stated “Very Well” sarcastically as if he wasn’t worried about the match because victory for the guys was guaranteed. FCI quickly set up the camera and wasted no time getting footage for the start of the event. As the match began the first up were TriForce and Wyldflower. Triforce 1st frame was a 9/ as he missed his chance at a spare.
