Founded in 2002, The Empire's goal is to evolve the level of video gaming and remove the social stigma attached to the video game culture around the world. The Empire is the world's most credible and famous video gamer organization, with experience in over 100 versatile and successful tournaments and events. The Empire is the premier producer of video gamer lifestyles, properties, including online, print, wireless, cable, digital video and most importantly the social gathering of gamers. In the year 2007, The legion of gamers has risen and now push the cause of Empire Arcadia towards a fun and exciting future. Arcadia has been Unleashed.

Empire Arcadia Inc. (The Empire) is a corporation forged from gamers to help develop and preserve the fundamentals, elements of the Greater Gaming Community and its culture. Empire Arcadia leads by example by providing information and performing the procedures and functions to the G.G.C. on how to express other way to enjoying videogames. The organization uses cultural elements such as Music, Fashion, Art, Media, Education, Competition and health to express video gaming in its other formats.

I have always been a gamer and always will be. During my experiences that I have learned in gaming from the culture to the industry since 1984, I have been dedicated to finding the core of the culture and opening its gates unleashing the Legion of Gamers. I have met many gamers who have joined in this crusade and we have made significant progress. As time endlessly continues we grow stronger and soon we will reach our true potential. When that time comes it will be known around the world as our time.

To whom it may interest when concerning Empire Arcadia Inc. two familiar questions always surface. What is Empire Arcadia and what does it do? Many answers have been given however they have been received by many in different ways. Some completely understand what Empire Arcadia is and other do not. Some find it fascinating while others are still puzzled by its vague conception. Many believe that there is no one way of summarizing what Empire Arcadia is. Some believe that the best way to understand the Empire is to become a part of it. However to many that is not an option. So how does one get a general understanding of what Empire is and does without joining the organization? Well that answer has finally come to light as administrators here at Empire Arcadia have released an official address for the company to the public that will shed light to the matter.
In order to understand what Empire Arcadia is we must first understand the meaning of its name. The word "Empire" means; is an extensive enterprise comprising a number of territories, units or nations rule by a single supreme authority. " Arcade " means; a commercial establishment featuring rows of coin-operated games for gamers to play. The suffix "ia" is a affix added to the end of the word or stem, serving to form a new word or functioning as an inflectional ending, such as "ia" in " Arcadia " mean of arcade. In likeness to how " America " has citizens or members of its nation called "Americans", " Arcadia " has members of its organization called "Arcadians". Arcadians are gamers of Empire Arcadia's community. Thus with this knowledge established Empire Arcadia means "The Empire of Gamers".
For many this information comes off as a bit cultish. This has caused many to be wary of the organization and its intent. However let's take a look at the intent of the organization to further study the purpose of the company. Empire Arcadia's primary goal is to "further develop the Greater Gamer Community and to both preserve and evolve the fundamental elements of the gamer Culture." What does this mean? To understand this statement you must first understand the three forces of gaming. Empire Arcadia's Founder and CEO Emperor TriForceGameMaster (also known as Triforce for short) code named the system in which his company wishes to further develop.
The system in which all gaming falls under by Empire Arcadia Inc. standards is code named: "TriForce". The TriForce are the three most powerful forces that stabilize the network of gaming; Industry, Community and Culture . The segments each empower key functions that create a supply and demand affect. This affect is infinite and travels through all three segments continuously. The first is the Industry which is the creator and the power behind the system. Through the development of gaming from a technological standpoint new games create new game play, experiences, technology and demands. This system generates the energy to keep the industry going and the income to support the next step.
The Community is the player base that consumes the products from the industry. The consumption develops new taste and a new sense of demand giving the industry purpose and the reason to continue. The community in turn indirectly creates a research and development department which demands bigger and better games. This demand is heard by the industry and is directly affected as new companies are formed to meet the demands in which the old company's can't. The courage to go beyond that of traditional development is born here. This courage keeps the industry healthy.
Finally you have the Culture which is the life force of all three forces. The culture breaks into new grounds of what the industry and community has developed. Sprouting new marketing areas that are not traditional to the industries development habits the culture is a force that is moved by the consumers solely. Engineering new elements to express the love of the primary product which is the physical videogames the gamers develop a sense of unconventional wisdom to use and create elements to gaming outside of the industry.
EmperorTFGM (TriForce) has come to the understanding of this system and named it accordingly after his favorite game and self. Not only did he do that but he also forged the Corporation "Empire Arcadia Inc." on the very same system making it the company's primary principle. So now where does that put Empire Arcadia Inc.? Much like any videogame developer, Empire Arcadia Inc. develops the society of gamers rather than the actual game itself. The cultural development organization that Empire Arcadia is serves a purpose to completely embody itself in one of the forces that lacks a representation. The Industry has many companies that represent it and i.e. Nintendo , Microsoft and Sony . Where as the community also has several representatives such SRK , MLG and GGL . However what does the Culture have? Here is where Empire Arcadia Inc. fits in. By networking with other organizations Empire Arcadia Inc. works hand and hand with businesses that share in the company's commitment to educate, entertain and provide other gaming services to the community and industry of gaming. This helps to establish new relationships and provide new experiences with the other two forces of the system. As the Empire provides services and products to the culture, new opportunities are developed and as the "TriForce" evolves throughout the many adventures, the Empire will work with and for other organizations by promoting its availability for the procedure and system in which it uses. These new opportunities opens door ways for outside entities that want to collaborate and develop new markets to further the expansion of the dynasty that is gaming. Companies like MTV , Phear Studios , and Vitamin Water to name a few have all sponsored and worked with Empire Arcadia in sharing our commitment to further develop the culture of gamers and gaming.
The part of the system that Empire Arcadia specializes in is the Culture aspect of gamers. This part of the system can be broken down into 7 fragments of its overall form. As mentioned in previous articles Empire Arcadia focuses on the Fashion, Music, Art, Media, Education, Health and Competition. These elements are the heart and soul of the gamer culture. Let's take a look at the breakdown to see how important these components are to the culture of gamers.

FASHION
For many years gamers have not been able to express the love for certain videogames or gaming characters outside of just playing the actual game. This all ended when Nintendo create gamer clothing that could be purchased or found in Nintendo Power Catalogs. Gamers were able to by flight jackets, leather jackets, t-shirts, button down shirts, polo shirts, watches, caps, hats and more. This was good for a while but then they stopped. This market is a tool to the stability of the culture and it is yet another way for gamers to express their like one gaming.
Empire Arcadia returned to light the concept that was forged almost 2 decades ago by Nintendo, by hosting 2 separate fashion shows at Music and Games 3 and Music and Games 4 .
Now as it stands The Nintendo World Store has recently held its own fashion show in mid spring and is an important start to the resurgence in gamer gear.

MUSIC
Music is vital part to any culture and is no different for gaming. For many years now the gaming industry has sold videogame music in the form of soundtracks which were found in certain game stores or online. However the envelope was not pushed until underground "gamer musicians" hit the scene like Wave theory , Virt , The Minibosses, The Neskimos and more.
From that the industry sought to expand on the idea and then found venues to host Dear Friends and Videogames Live . Even though Videogames Live event was cancelled it later returned in 2006 with new hopes that the music of the gamer culture will grow.

ART
Gamers have been magnetically drawn to the aspect of what games look like and how the characters are drawn. This normal in any culture. A picture is worth a thousand words and that alone has inspired gamers to draw their own rendition of their favorite videogame character.
Gamers throughout the culture have even redrawn some characters better than the original.
Now you have anime conventions that support art from even videogame characters at Otakon and Comic Con. At these conventions gamers Cos-play which is a costume reenactment of a particular character found in videogmes. This is also a example of art in gaming. Examples: Cammy from Super Street Fighter 2 and Morrigan from Dark Stalkers. |

MEDIA
There are over one million hours of gamer footage from tournaments to documentaries of videogame conventions and events online. However the envelop was really pushed when companies started to get coverage on E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo).
This stirred great interest as the industry was able to get a reading of the amount of viewers that watched content like E3. Thus the birth of G4TV and GameSpot private media coverage of the event.
The only problem with this is it doesn't cover the culture of the "Gamer" but more so about the gaming industry. Now entities like MTV and Empire Media and Productions has taken up that work on a professional level outside of the gamers within the community that have been at this work for years.

Since the turn of the century education for gaming have peaked the interest of schools that want to support the curriculum. Schools like Devry has taken the gaming course and secured the future of game development.

Gamers have been competition against each other since the creation of the first videogame ever; X and O. It is the very matrix of the culture.
The tournament aspect of gaming has been around since the ending of the pioneering era of gaming. At that time Nintendo hosted the Nintendo Power Fest World tournaments. Since then many community organizations for example, SRK have brought the concept of fighting evolution to the forefront of its community.
It has gotten to a point now that these community tournaments have evolved into start up gaming leagues. This has quickly triggered a competitive fire that has now many videogame Leagues. Just to name a few: MLG , SRK , GGL , CPL and WCG . |
