DigitalLife, Ziff Davis Media's leading consumer electronics and digital technology event, and the Global Gaming League are producing a major new videogame tournament, the DigitalLife Tournament Series, to be held in conjunction with the show. The tournament begins with nationwide on-line and face-to-face qualifiers and will culminate with the grand finals October 14-16 at DigitalLife (http://www.digitallife.com) in New York City. Thousands of gamers are expected to compete for over $100,000 in cash and top brand prizes. Gamers are invited to register for the DigitalLife Tournament Series at http://digitallife.ggl.com.
Sign-ups will be accepted until 5 p.m. ET on Thursday, Sept. 22 for the first round of online qualifiers for Counter-Strike. Sign-ups for all other games are now closed. The battle for $100,000 in cash and prizes begins Saturday, Sept. 24 and continues through Sunday, Sept. 25. The top 5 winners for each game discipline will be awarded an auto-berth directly into the Top-16 Elimination Tournament at DigitalLife.
The special LAN Qualification event for the DigitalLife Tournament are complete - they took place this past weekend at all five CSA Centers, qualifying 40 top gamers for an automatic berth to compete in person in front of a live audience at the $100,000 Tournament grand final event, to be held October 14-16 at DigitalLife in New York City at the Jacob Javits Center.
GGL broadcast affiliate, Inside the Game [iTG] will broadcast live Video coverage of DigitalLife, interviews with tournament finalists and grand final tournament coverage live from New York.
