 Story
Justin Wong is not a myth nor a legend, he is reality as we speak. Many people know him as Justin Wong, JWong, J-Wo, the FOB, Marvelous, or 4 year Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Champion of the World. But Marvelous is his code name for Empire Arcadia. Before when Justin "Marvelous" Wong joined the group called Empire Arcadia, he was just a random Asian that watches from the back. Then one day everybody disappear and now Justin couldn't enjoy watching people play. Then all the sudden he started playing with all his might and a new hero has been brought to the gaming world, Justin Wong.
Many people thought the East Coast had no chance against West Coast in any game. When Justin started to win more and more in East Coast tournaments with ease, the players from East Coast started to hype him up. At the time this new star was about 14 years old. Everybody from the East Coast was telling him that he can change the EC vs. WC rivalry. But the young hero thought to himself and disagrees with what everyone said. Then one day, at a tournament called ECC6 also known as East Coast Championship 6, one top player from the West Coast has came down for this event. His name was Ricky Ortiz. There were many stories about this individual that frankly just made Justin Wong think to himself that there is no way he can win. Throughout the whole tournament, Justin started to lose his cool between his matches because all he can think about is what to do against Ricky. Then all the sudden, Justin loses to somebody and is now in the loser bracket. After that he realized that he shouldn't be worrying and all he should think about is do his best. So he fought his way through the loser bracket and finally made it to the finals against Ricky. Now the rules are since Justin is in the loser bracket, he has to beat Ricky 2 sets and Ricky has to beat Justin 1 set. Each set is 4 matches and if Justin wins the first set, the score resets. For example: If the score is 4-2 Justin, then now it moves to the second set and it start out as 0-0. So Justin has to win 8 matches. As the matches begin, Justin plays his best and beats him the first 2 games with his Magneto, Cable, Cammy team. Then Ricky wins the next 2 games with his Spiral, Cable, and Sentinel team. But Justin beats him in the next 2 games with his best team. Now the second set begins. It starts off with an intense battle on the first and second game. Score is 1-1 right now. But Justin pulls it off and wins the next 3 games with ease and wins the tournament. Now he is officially the East Coast Champion of Marvel vs. Capcom 2. He soon realize that he is now involved in the WC and EC battle. (West Coast and East Coast)
As June came along, he is done with his second year in High School. Spending time with his new girlfriend Mindy and also training harder and harder in games. Then one of his close friends at the time name John Gordon came to him and asks if he wanted to go to Chicago with him for the Midwest Championship Tournament. He thought about it and he decided to go. So when Justin went on that 16 hours bus ride, he heard the best in California was going to this event. Justin thought to himself that he was going to lose, even though only 2 people had faith in me and the rest of EC didn't. Those two people were John and Mindy. So when the bus ride was over, he was still in denial. Then Justin had a flashback about this happening before. He didn't want another ECC6 repeat. So the brave hero marched in the tournament in Chicago with courage like never seen before. When the marvel tournament has started, he saw many WC people in this event. There was Viscant, Alex Valle, (the best in the WC) Mikey and many others. The first person Justin fought from the WC was Mikey. He beat Mikey with Blackheart, Sentinel, and Commando. That team was a WC team. Then Viscant was the next person I fought. He beat me the first game and it was getting intense. Justin again played Blackheart, Sentinel, and Commando and pulled off the win. Then finally in the Winner Finals he fights Alex Valle. The teams being used was Magneto, Cable, Cammy used by Justin and Blackheart, Sentinel, Commando used by Alex. The first game was a close match but won by Alex. Then Justin caught on to his style of play and beats him the next 3 games for the win. Alex comes back from the loser bracket and plays Justin again. This time he has to beat Justin 2 sets and Justin has to beat him 1 set. Alex beats Justin the first match again. But Justin comes back from the first match and beats him the next 4 game with ease and wins the tournament. Now everybody from the EC is celebrating with Justin because he is now the Midwest Champion. Now on to the next Tournament, and that is in the WC territory. California is Justin's next stop in claming true glory.
This event is called B5. This is when people from other countries like Japan come. So now the battlefield has stretched from EC vs. WC to EC vs. WC vs. Japan. This time Justin knows this isn't the time to play, so he practices up with a new team and came up with Storm, Sentinel, and Cammy. He went to B5 and this time it was for real. He was not playing at all. The people in Japan he had to worry were White, the best Marvel player in Japan. Then from the WC the players were Ricky, Mikey, Alex, Viscant, Shady, and the B4 Champ Duc. He plowed through everybody with ease until he met White. White from Japan and Justin from EC were going back and forth, but Justin pulls off the win in the end. Then Duc came along and beats Duc with his new found team Storm, Sentinel, Cammy. 3-1. in the finals, Duc was pushing Justin to the curb. The score was 3-2 Duc. Justin knew he had to make a comeback and he succeeded in doing so by making it 4-2. Now the new Justin team is Storm, Sentinel, and Cammy. Now he is officially Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Champion of the world. But how long can he keep this title.
Finally when B5 was over, his third year of High School came about. He was happy since he balanced everything out between EC vs. WC. Also a tragic event happens and that is also known as 9/11. Even though he was relocated into a different school, nothing bad has happen to him ever since. He lived his life as he always had with his girl, Mindy. He thought about playing a new game and taking that more seriously and he did. He started playing CVS2 also known as Capcom vs Snk 2. Many months has passed since this tragic event has happen. Now is the year of 2002, and Justin embarks once again to ECC7. This time WC was ready for Justin by sending down Team Seattle. They consist of Scott Wang, Cody, Thong, Kuan, and their leader Rowtron. Justin has underestimate them and lost to Scott in the winners bracket. Now Justin has to come back from the losers and fight a gauntlet of Seattle players. He has beaten Thong, but it was very close. Kuan however lost to me very easily and now I had to fight Row. I had to beat Row 8 games. The first 2 games Row beat me. But then the next 4 games I beaten him with my Storm, Sentinel, Cammy. He didn't know what to do with his Magneto, Cable, and Sentinel team. Then the second set happen and I beat him the next 4 with ease. I kept my title as World Champion for now. The CVS2 tournament that was held during the same day was very tragic. Justin was decent in the game but not good enough to win the tournament. He placed third in the tournament. Justin vowed that he will be a threat one day at the game.
Now on to the next tournament, and that is the next Midwest Championship. This tournament, he went through with ease until he fought this guy name SIN from Cali. He was pretty intense; the score was 3-2 Justin. And then SIN through Justin in a scare by beating him the first 3 games, but Justin started to use Magneto, Cable, Sentinel on the 4th game and made a 4 win streak comeback. And then Evolution 2002 has come about. This time Justin has more people to worry about because everybody has gotten better ever since last year's defeat. So Justin plays Magneto, Storm, Psylocke and goes through all of WC until he met ComboFiend. Combofiend puts him in the loser bracket and Justin barely makes it out alive in the loser bracket. Then Sunday came along and Justin's 1st match was with Clockwork. Justin beats him and then fights Sin again. Wins that match and then fights Row. Beats him and goes on as winner's finalist. Justin was looking forward in fighting Combofiend but he loses to Row. But Cali didn't want me to win, so they made this game a one game final. They made Justin play Row one game. So Justin had to beat him one game and Row had to beat him two games. Row wins the first game and then Justin pulls off the victory in the second game. Justin once again retains the title as World Champion, but this time its a 2 year winning streak for Justin.
As the year goes by, we hit the year 2003. During May, there is a big tournament called UCLA Tips and Tricks Tournament and it was held in Cali. He thought he would need some backup because he was always the one doing everything. So he was introduced to Empire Arcadia. At first, he thought to himself that joining this faction will be a good idea. So he decided to join this group and maybe some good will come to him. He went to Cali with Sanford, one of the greatest soldiers in Empire Arcadia and also the student of Justin Wong and they rocked Cali so hard it wasn't even funny. Also, Justin asked Ricky Ortiz if he wanted to join the Empire since Ricky always was part of East Coast due to the fact that he lived in NYC for several months. When Justin and Sanford came back to Empire Arcadia's location, they had a celebration because now with Justin and Ricky as part of Empire, things are going to change now.
All the tournaments after that were basically all dominated by Empire Arcadia members. Also more people wanted to join because they knew that this elite organization has been dominating more and more tournaments. More people were accepted into the Empire such as John Flash Gordon, and Arturo Sanchez. All kinds of tournaments have been won by Empire Arcadia ever since until the time for Evol2003 came around. There were only 3 soldiers that went to this event. Justin, Arturo and Ricky. Some stuff happened to everyone that prevented them from coming. But in the end Justin and Ricky gets first and second place in marvel, Ricky gets top 8 in Street fighter 3rd strike, and Justin and Arturo gets top 8 in CVS2. As you can see from the past, not many EC people made it to top 10 before, but this time Empire Arcadia member's made it to top 10. Justin thought to himself it was a good thing that he joined, because the Emperor also known as Thee Triforce Game Master was very good to Marvelous. He showed him the way and because of that, Justin now has more reinforcements so he will never be alone in a tournament.
Since then Marvelous has been on a tear as he has risen from (E)mperial soldier to Royal (E)mperial Guard of the Empire he frequently leads the Empire's Army into tournaments decimating all who opposes the Empire. The true abilities of Marvelous has yet to be tapped and when they are, the gaming community will marvel in his regin.
It's been two and a half years since I've been in the Empire. It's almost like as if it was yesterday. I remember the first time that I teamed up with Santhrax at the Tips and Tricks UCLA tournament. I remember how Arcadia magazine took pictures of me Ricky and Triforce after I won first place in Marvel vs. Capcom 2 at Evolution 2K3. The following year, which was 2004, was the busiest year I had ever undertaken. From North Carolina to Atlanta's Final Round 8 to Texas Showdown 4, East Coast Championship 9, Midwest Championships 2004, and finally Evolution 2K4. I've toured this country for the Empire, wiping out all who would oppose the banner in which I hold on my back. At home. the Empire State , I wonder if the cause that I fight for is worth it. The doubts occasionally arise here and there but I stay true to the cause. I fight for the Empire because the Empire fights for me and all the other gamers that can not fight for themselves.
During the last two years, I have reached limits that have pushed me to become a greater gamer than I have ever been. I've learned so many things, gained a greater sense of wisdom. This redefinition of me has only reconfirmed my faith in the Empire and what we are about. So I continue my reign on all who oppose the Empire. Crushing my enemies with a wrath second to only one and showing no mercy. For the cause of the Empire must fulfilled.
EmperorTFGM one day made a surprise visit to my home. We spoke about the future, and he then told me that he had to make a choice. He could not understand certain elements of the Empire himself and why so many would sacrifice what they already had established for a cause that he dedicated his life to. He then told me that there would come a time when he will have to make a choice to turn his back on me in trust that I would not backstab him, or not to trust me and keep his eye on me. He then told me that he would let fate decide and trust me. I knew he was not big on fate or destiny as we had a prior talk about that before. That is when I knew he was willing to put complete trust in me.something that I wouldn't expect from him. Shortly after that we went to the Mid Atlantic Gaming Festival 3 in Virginia and for the first time I competed along side of the Emperor and we accounted for 8 out of the 15 tournaments at MAG Fest ranking 1 st place in all 8. We split it 4 - 4. The other gamers in the Empire took care of the rest of the tournaments as they helped out ranking top 3 in 11 out of 15 games. It was the first time that I battled along side of him, and I gained a greater respect for him. It was a well earned respect to see him on the battlefield with the same gamers that fought for his cause, his dream and for him as well. It shows me that he would fight for us and that sealed it for me thus my efforts shall be for him and the cause of the Empire. He has earned my trust, Hail to the Empire.
